Baby's Nap Time

We've been very busy lately, but we have managed to maintain a good sleep schedule. Max takes two solid naps a day, and even manages a short third nap in the afternoon if we have been extra active. He is eating a lot of solids (3 meals a day on top of nursing) and between crawling, cruising and playing, when he isn't napping he's basically a blur. No matter how much he's grown and changed, when he sleeps to me he still looks like that little newborn we welcomed to the world not even ten months ago.

Playdates and Get-togethers

Max has been a very busy little bear lately. Since his Daddy went back to work, I make sure that his days are filled with activities and get-togethers. Now that he has fully cut his eighth tooth, he is a very happy and agreeable little guy. He's at such a fun age, and he finds so many things hilarious. It's amazing but these days my almost 10 month old son's antics and baby sense of humour make me laugh harder than anything. Here are some shots of him with friends, young and old, taken over the past couple weeks.

Max's Backwards Motion

Cuddly Little Bear

Today was Max's first "Rainbow Music" class. It's a 40 minute class for babies where there are songs, simple instruments (tambourines, bells, maracas, etc...) and some movement games. Max absolutely adored it! He had an amazing time dancing, clapping and singing (well, his version of it anyway). I didn't take any pictures at the class, but here is my happy little bear cuddling on the couch with me at home this afternoon:

Late Summer Days

As the summer draws to a close, we have continued to enjoy the park every day. We will miss it very much when the winter weather comes. By next spring, Max will be much older and will experience the park (and everything else) in a completely different way.

Steak!

Max's absolute favorite food is steak. It's amazing to watch him eat it, and with such gusto. Now that he has so many teeth, he is able to chew it quite efficiently too.

In other news, Max was stung by a wasp on his finger at the park yesterday. It was red and swollen for a few hours but he didn't complain very much and it is absolutely fine today. It was my baby's first boo boo and it made me sad, but he's a strong and resilient little guy, as babies tend to be.

Happy Little Explorer

Max loves to thoroughly explore every single millimeter of our home. Here's a short video of him being extra cute and happy while checking out the window which looks out onto our balcony. 

Giggly Baby

For some reason Max finds the word "stinky" to be particularly hilarious, as you will see in the video. For the record, his feet are sweeter than candy to me, and are from stinky.

The following pictures were taken before going out to meet Ori, a most lovely and charming family member from Israel. Unfortunately, Max slept through most of our visit with him, and I did not have my camera on me (and the camera has been dropped a few times and isn't working as it should be anyway). Alas, all I have are the pre-visit shots.
