Despite the insane mess, he did manage to get quite a bit of pasta and applesauce into his mouth via the spoon.

16 Months!
How time flies...
It's been a very wonderful but very busy couple of weeks, and I haven't had a lot of time or energy to post anything new, as you might have noticed. March break was great, and we took advantage of the amazing weather to spend lots of time in parks, out walking, and just enjoying the sunshine and blue skies. Max seems to learn new tricks by the minute, and it's a privilege and a joy to be able to witness all his developments as they happen. My little baby is definitely becoming a big boy before my eyes!
Here's a short video taken this afternoon. In it, Max is entertained by looking at himself being filmed on my iPhone, since I had the camera feature flipped around so that he could see himself.

Slide!
Here's a short video taken today of Max playing on the slide at the park:
Amazing to think that just 5 months ago, this was how Max was enjoying the slide:
What a difference a few months make!

Family Time & New Room
Max has had lots of family visiting from out of town over the past week and a half. First his Abuela Paulina, also known as "Weli" came for a visit. Then this past weekend, his Bubbie, Auntie T and Uncle Dustin came to town. His Toronto peeps, namely Uncle Todd, Lisa and Tia Christina, although not pictured here, were also part of the fun. Outside of these visits, Max has been very busy just being his sweet and active toddler self.

Another New Song
Here's a short video of Max rocking out on the ukulele while sitting in his new "anywhere chair" (which he absolutely loves). While to the untrained ear this sounds a lot like all his of songs, it is in fact a distinct piece, with the chorus being the part where he shakes his pointed finger. His Daddy and I find it to be unbelievably adorable and entertaining.
Today is Max's 15 month birthday. It's amazing how quickly time has passed!

Family Day and Uncles Week
As usual, Max has been very busy. Between visits from not one but two dear out-of-town uncles, Family Day festivities, and everyday growing and learning, the past week has been lots of fun for the little guy.
Max's hair is getting more and more curly in the back, as you can see here

Hmmmm. Max, coffee, and a laptop. That could have been a very dangerous combination, Uncle Noah
As expected, Max loved Steve's guitar

Max loved his aunt Lisa's ring tone and wanted to hear it over and over
Max likes his water in cups with straws only

As of yesterday, our little musician has started calling the ukulele a "ditar". It remains his absolute favourite toy

Max liked the pretty Korean girl cartoon
Max loved walking around the bookstore
Surprisingly, he was very respectful of the books and didn't destroy anything

Happy Valentine's Day
Max is definitely feeling better today, which is a huge relief. Here are some shots of him looking cherubic in honour of Valentine's Day.

On the Mend
Max was pretty sick yesterday. After a trip to the doctor, a chest x-ray, and his first few doses of antibiotics for bronchitis, I'm happy to report that he seems to be doing better already. He no longer has a fever, he's coughing less and he even ate a few bites of food after not having eaten in days. He's not 100% but things are definitely looking up. Here are some pictures of him celebrating his feeling better with a song.
Taking a bow
He is actually much crankier in real life, but the kid has been photographed so much that he knows how to turn on the charm for the camera.
