Another New Song

Here's a short video of Max rocking out on the ukulele while sitting in his new "anywhere chair" (which he absolutely loves). While to the untrained ear this sounds a lot like all his of songs, it is in fact a distinct piece, with the chorus being the part where he shakes his pointed finger. His Daddy and I find it to be unbelievably adorable and entertaining.
Today is Max's 15 month birthday. It's amazing how quickly time has passed!

Family Day and Uncles Week

As usual, Max has been very busy. Between visits from not one but two dear out-of-town uncles, Family Day festivities, and everyday growing and learning, the past week has been lots of fun for the little guy.

Max's hair is getting more and more curly in the back, as you can see here

Reading with Tio Paco

Hmmmm. Max, coffee, and a laptop. That could have been a very dangerous combination, Uncle Noah

As expected, Max loved Steve's guitar

Max loved his aunt Lisa's ring tone and wanted to hear it over and over

Max likes his water in cups with straws only

As of yesterday, our little musician has started calling the ukulele a "ditar". It remains his absolute favourite toy

Max liked the pretty Korean girl cartoon

Max loved walking around the bookstore

Surprisingly, he was very respectful of the books and didn't destroy anything

Happy Valentine's Day

Max is definitely feeling better today, which is a huge relief. Here are some shots of him looking cherubic in honour of Valentine's Day.

On the Mend

Max was pretty sick yesterday. After a trip to the doctor, a chest x-ray, and his first few doses of antibiotics for bronchitis, I'm happy to report that he seems to be doing better already. He no longer has a fever, he's coughing less and he even ate a few bites of food after not having eaten in days. He's not 100% but things are definitely looking up. Here are some pictures of him celebrating his feeling better with a song.

Taking a bow

He is actually much crankier in real life, but the kid has been photographed so much that he knows how to turn on the charm for the camera.

Miscelaneous Max Shots

The little guy is battling another winter cold, and he's also cutting his two top canine teeth, so he hasn't been his usual cheery self these past few days. Rather than annoy my sniffly, cranky, clingy baby by trying to take his picture, here are some random shots from the past couple of weeks.
"Want a cracker, Mama?"

"Wait, there's more of these, right?"

An homage to the Max our little guy is named for

Hanging out with Uncle T

This is Max's cupboard in the kitchen. Everything in there is safe for and from him.

Lots of teeth!

This was taken at Chapters, where Max was trying on a backpack and inspecting the shelves. I must admit, this picture made me cry when I first really looked at it. I can't believe what a big boy he has become!
