Epic Outing

The little guy had a very busy day yesterday. The morning started out nice and early, just the way Max likes it. Then, he had a visit from his Daddy's former colleague Ian, who was in from out of town for the morning.
"Is that present for me?"
Next, we went  to brunch at our friends Shelly and Rick's house, who are the parents of one of Paul's former students. Max was on his very best behaviour while his Mom and Dad enjoyed a delicious meal. Max sat at the table like a big boy, and was fascinated by their dog Tasha.

After brunch we went for a long walk in the gorgeous ravine system that spans our city. It was incredibly beautiful and the weather was perfect.

After our nature stroll, we returned to the urban jungle where we parted ways with our friends. Paul, Max and I decided to make the most of the weather and walk to a not-so-close mall to run some errands.

After walking back to our neighbourhood (which was all uphill, I might add), we treated ourselves to a delicious hipster hamburger at a local eatery.
Max is shocked at the amount of ketchup Daddy uses
By the time we returned home, we had been out of the house for about 8 hours and had walked more than 10km. Max was a real trooper and was extremely cooperative during our epic outing. His love for adventure obviously trumps his teething crankiness!
